The judicial part is crazy to me. I am open to not quite getting the spirit of it, but unlikely. The part about not wanting the enveloping culture to teach my subculture to my children is completely reasonable tho. I don’t want Americans teaching my son what my foreign culture

was like. They would not do a good job and he would not inherit it. If I was living in China I would not want them teaching my son what America is like. I wouldn’t trust them to portray it well, even if they had no bad intentions.
