Having listened to him for many hours (and having worked with his brother), I don’t think that represents what he believes at all. He does say “there’s a version of what they’re saying I’m sympathetic to”, but that’s not remotely saying “I’m ok w some woke stuff.”

don't have the book on hand but this is from Rory Miller's taxonomy of social violence the interaction at hand was not about reasoned discourse, it was social violence a mob is a group monkey dance and there are really one two defenses apart from running immediately

the first is convincingly signaling that you are disturbingly mentally unsound, complete with behavioral tics the second is a preemptive act of awesome, unfathomable violence against a would-be monkey dancer that breaks group cohesion and morale
