one of those rare cases where a scott review doesnt serve as a substitute for reading the original in full

Ok here is the main thing that I have to say about Class and why you should read it. Class is an introduction to a novel social refactoring, and teaches you how to start Noticing something that we may as well call class.

FAIG could probably benefit from a hand-holding eli5 blog series a lot of it is so curt that it's not very digestible I felt the chapter on sex was really important but you need to have a good grasp on what he means by touch etc

That would be really cool - I tried reading F&IG but whatever good ideas are contained within were completely obscured by the authors lack of understanding of games.

Critter added,
Critter @BecomingCritterif you didn't know, 'Finite and Infinite Games' is so short because Carse lost his 400pp manuscript in paris and didn't have the stomach to rewrite it until to years later, the point at which he wrote it off the top of his head subtracting all quotes and citationsShow this thread2 replies 0 retweets 4 likes
yeah i think that helped in my case best to avoid getting caught up on the particulars and instead just take it in by Vibe
