If you chosen to believe in god you have to wrap it around reality somehow. Some people are more creative than others. Even if that framing is the most accurate possible, science still isn't faith-based as one need not even believe in god to do it.

No one pulls the "science is just faith" ripcord unless their worldview is threatened by science. It just doesn't make sense until you need it to.

The verbal vs. statistical problem gets interesting here. Scientists are interpreting messages from God as verbal hypotheses but then affirming them with statistical rituals. How does that transition happen? And Why?
