for the last two weeks the main story has been the NYT and as the NYT knows better than any institution, being the story is an extremely uncomfortable position in which to find oneself

After a certain point, reputation loss stops being a function of the amount you deserve it. The NYT increased its subscriber count almost 50% in 2020.
