it's kind of interesting actually there are traps in society, which I only encounter occasionally, that you can just TELL are made to systematically screw lower middle class-and-below people

i think UMC people encounter them rarely because we're not soft targets (so why bother trying to nail us) and we have the ability to effectively retaliate (even worse if you piss enough of us off) but I suspect theyre pervasive for others im lowkey furious about this injustice

most examples of these traps involve: 1. debt 2. the law 3. bureaucracy generally I see these related items as useful tools in the hands of UMC, but essentially minefields for LMC and below

if hiring an attorney feels roughly like calling a plumber you're more likely UMC if it feels like jumping into a shark tank you're closer to LMChttps://twitter.com/redcar_tenken/status/1357064321524772865?s=19 …

One time I got a phone call for some medical copay or something that had gone to collections. Person on the phone demanded immediate payment with credit car. I said I don't give my CC # to strangers who ask for it on the phone, how do I know you're legit?

Person immediately copped an attitude and accused me of trying to weasel out of my obligation. Finally said I had twenty minutes to make calls to verify she wasn't a scammer, and if I didn't call back by then the debt would increase and escalate in severity (some how)

I was taken aback. I had NEVER in my life been treated with such suspicion and contempt by a "customer service" type person.

If you are looking for payment, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long shitposting twitter career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you.pic.twitter.com/pXltwyY2T3
