as far as you or I know no court has ever determined that commercial regulations dont apply to journalism no matter what the first amendment says

such a guaranteed wage will help out struggling journalists get back on their feet in no time the press corps will return to its proud tradition as a high quality functional industry in no time and our best and brightest minds will flock to the field

the best part is that everyone knows minimum wage laws dont have disemployment effects so no need to worry about that sort of thing
