ok but im not toooootally sure about this for the following reason (which may simply reflect a further degree of ignorance on my part) this explains why they would stop new buys but not necessarily why they would actively sell existing positions . . . I think? can imagine things

overall this is a really fast moving and low information situation and while there are reasons to believe its a conspiracy i think some of those reasons are unrelated to whether it was a conspiracy
