6. one entry not on the list but that I have been very interested in is @PhilthyPhil2012, talking about what it is like to have a military career and about the integration of military and social life in the US. this extremely contingent on it having no repercussions for him

some things that I think seem superficially like they would be good I'm not sure I would engage with in an entertaining way: a.
@sarahdoingthing on antinatalism. i respect and I think understand her views, and many other people are often tiresome about this topic :(1 reply 0 retweets 13 likesShow this thread -

@yashkaf on polyamory? I'm not sure about this. I think it could be great or possibly just kind of awkward depending on the formatting. HM.3 replies 0 retweets 14 likesShow this thread -

Don't think it would be awkward if we come in good faith, but it may be more interesting to go meta and talk about eg our general differences in approach to life and trusting reason. Applies to poly, spending money, believing in rationality etc etchttps://twitter.com/yashkaf/status/1346226926218866688?s=19 …

Jakeup @yashkafAn important crux of disagreement is between people who think: 1. Things that are bad for most people are also pretty bad for smart people. 2. Traps for most people are opportunities for smart people. This is more of a mood than an explicit model, kinda like optimism/pessimism.Show this thread1 reply 0 retweets 10 likes -

For topics in general, my blog and TL are full of ideas I came up with our thought about in a new-ish way. Polyamory isn't one of them. I do reserve "people hating on poly and blaming it for everything" as something to get irrationally mad about, but Eigen doesn't do it anyway.

I'd be interested to talk about "the ingroup". What's it for? Where is it going? What makes one a fit? Who's the outgroup?
