This new mental health condition, that forbids you to complete a self reflection loop, is spreading faster than covid.

Tbh, it works better when put that way. Otherwise, it's wrapping itself in a pretzel to try to be non-aggressor and thus good guy/underdog. To me, the Paradox is just a less funny version of Sam Hyde's "self-defense situation"

i still have trouble believing anyone can reference that thing honestly except as an example of why tolerance is self-contradicting as a highest value
-
at least abstract 'tolerance' if you decide that my highest value is that all of society must tolerate, idk, public breastfeeding, then that's something you can coherently crack down on speech, assembly, whatever over. but tolerance over the political itself is a sucker's game

Tolerance is a state defined by its breaking point though. Masks are off. He doesn't think those that disagree with him should live, let alone have a voice. This dude's working on a medical algorithm that even at its pitch level reads as a means to eliminate the undesirables.

That’s not the paradox. The paradox is “tolerance of all save intolerance.” And it’s not actually a paradox. It’s a precondition. Popper outlined all this 80 years ago. Intolerance, left unchecked, inevitably destroys open societies.
