CORRECTION: i stated yesterday that jacob blake was not holding a knife when police shot him in the back - it appears he very prob was i still feel strongly than seven bullets in the back was an excessive response but i believe in admitting my mistakes and not spreading misinfo

It's uncomfortable disecting the rules of engagement but it seems there's a reason. Not that they shouldn't be reviewed but its not my cup of tea.

i understand the rationale behind training police to continue shooting until suspects are dead i don't believe this is justified unless the suspect is carrying a firearm, but i don't blame cops for following their training

Soapbox warning. I don't blame cops *entirely* for following their training, but I think a major problem with policing in this country is the culture and training of law enforcement that treats their relationship to citizens as armed occupiers of a hostile populace.
