what happens if you put a 45rpm lp on at 33 1/2 does it just sound fucked up

My family had one of the Mickey Mouse ones, which would be worth a fortune to a collector now, and it had a built-in adapter that popped up around the spindle for the larger hole of a 45 record. On that one, and most others, the speed was controlled by a separate switch.

Looked like this. The 45 hole adapter is the round blue thing surrounding the small metal spindle that was for 33-1/3. There were also such things as 16-2/3 rpm records (same size and shape as 33-1/3), used for some spoken-word discs, mostly educational.pic.twitter.com/uhljocatwh
