I've only sort of skimmed over this yesterday, but I wondered whether it might not be an issue that they defined as "indoctrination" as when someone was liberal before college and conservative after it (scale: very liberal, liberal, centrist, conservative, very conservative)

and then reject the thesis by saying that most students are already liberal before college. Sure, I can buy that, but would it not fair to also conceive of indoctrination as what *kind* of ideas a person has?
