human milk apparently only has 9-12g protein per liter so i guess when @babymoonbot starts nursing shes getting it mixed with whey

When I was a wee lad on the farm, we'd feed the calves with milk supplement, a very distinctive smelling substance I never encountered again.... Until I opened a can of whey protein. My point is if it's good enough for expensive dairy cattle it's good enough for babies.

This works better for some women than others. There's a homeostatic feedback loop between the infant feeding and the mother's production. Introducing pumping can really mess it up sometimes.

This is an excellent point and the sooner you do it the faster you will both get some rest but your ONE job, and get this right, is to bring her a glass of water every time she nurses, w/o her asking. This is important. You’ll both know why later.
