fond memories of carrying a sofa my flatmate bought for £35 across a somewhat dodgy part of london, random strangers helping us move it part of the way
-
it was too large to go up the stairs so we cut it up and one of my flatmates used the faux leather to make cosplay outfits

RAC is such a crazy concept... post college we had no money for these things and just kept trading up or down on eBay based on need. there's always someone that needs to get rid of furniture

I make my own now. We had some made for the old house we moved with us, and my office has built-ins. In general, invest in your home, not your car.

I buy all of my boots used People probably think it's gross though but I always change the insoles and clean them and they end up looking and feeling brand new and last as long as a new pair would. The only problem I find with buying used is you start buying stuff you don't need

Beat coppers in the UK often buy used Para boots. Already broken in.
