1. human attention is measured, commodified, bought and sold with high degrees of accuracy and this is improving daily. everyone is hacked to varying degrees. this has probably always been true to an extent but the measurement is new and has not nearly played out

2. if a conquest-minded AI existed with access to such data and levers to manipulate attention it wouldn't even need to kill all humans directly, just slowly tweak parameters and increase automization until humans become increasingly marginalized, and,

Here’s a question, how does a AI bit experience time? How would they trade off time for certainty of victory? Would they take 10x as long to get a 1% increase in probability of victory?
