Haven't thought about it for neuroticism per se, but I'm pretty sure people self-segregate by "aliveness" and disinhibition This is REALLY bad for the most inhibited/neurotic

I’m neurotic. My ex scored higher on neuroticism than me. We were both HIGHLY conscientious which mitigated neuroticism quite a bit, so we lasted 13 years. Current husband of 15 years is low on neuroticism & high conscientious, & I’ve learned better skills. Happy results.
