Not at all an expert but my sense is they're close but not quite there. If US proclaimed "we're done, have fun" not clear that you wouldn't get immediate attacks on all sides.

Israel is very strong, but Iran is still a risk, especially if they get nuclear weapons (for Mutual Assured Destruction). US bases in the Mideast mostly target Iran. US strategic goal is GCC-Israeli regional hegemony.
