apparently one of her brothers had to have tubes put in his ears for infections, and a court took months to approve operation, which apparently courts have to do in order for foster kids to get medical care

this had to go through the state health system, and was paid for by foster coupons these coupons didnt cover painkillers so they just sent him home and said "have him take tylenol ig" selene's folks said jesus we will pay for painkillers NOPE not allowed sorry two year old kid

ugh I hate this so much....I always ask my exwife for EMT stories, so I don't forget just how much these systems suck currently (and I regret it usually). Usually it's the elderly, but they are like kids, literally two things society should provide for and it does not.

Almost makes ya feel responsible for bringing them into the world, huh? My son is on “the spectrum”. Not unusual for families to breakup and leave a kid adrift, but I’ll be damned if I’ll negligently choose that for him.

truly one of the worst states you can be in vis-a-vis the State is dreaded Ambiguity I had a long running dispute with the tax authority about social security payments. in fact I had not received any payments, but bc it was very difficult to prove the negative we spoke monthly
