my rule is: yes when she's a baby, because she gets to pull it, but she won't remember later. sacrifices as a kid it depends but they might be similar to me as a kid and dislike kisses if you have a cactus beard

Just remember that once you commit to beard it's weird (for the kids) to go back Watching Dad grow a beard is fine, looking at Dad's smooth face after years of beard is weirdly uncomfortable in ways that are hard to describe

Can confirm. My dad shaved his beard off when I was in middle school and the entire family demanded he grow it back
