half-formed take in three parts 1. The left and center left factions of the Democratic party should vocally and publicly criticize each other, 2. in a "fair" and "sporting" way, 3. with the acknowledgement that the other side is still better than Republicans

are you suggesting that the house democratic caucus is unlikely to adopt the NLRG's tweets as strategy en mass?

im suggesting that your prescription aims toward an objective not shared by a significant portion of the agents or by amused onlookers but thats less directly relevant

if leftists engaged in that strategy with respect to themselves then it would be easy for conventional conservatives to insinuate themselves in those communities making arguments for their own preferences, which is not the purpose of political tribal affiliations

i think this is a better description of twitter assholes than elected officials (which is what i had in mind when making my initial tweet). that said, my response is still that to the extent that that's true, they should share my objective instead.

definitely. i think there's a coordination problem caused by extremely weak party institutions, and also a sort of generalized spirit of intolerance towards differing beliefs that is very easy to see in people i disagree with but probably more or less pervasive

I think the best way to approximately get what you're looking for is to put pressure on trendmakers to popularize a more bland, less invective discourse overall
