they will stick with R for the most part however, I think public piousity will make something of a comeback (yes I know the "right" word is piety, but as The Man observed, if it's public, it's probably not piety)

For me, it comes down to the difference between laughing behind my back and laughing in my face. Despite running in the right circles for it, I don't actually know all that many evangelicals in my age cohort (mid-late millennial), but the ones I do know mostly went D this time.
