this was a genuinely depressing trip. downtown looks like a wasteland. most stores are closed, many (nordstrom flagship included) are boarded up. more tents than usual decay hasn't spread north to our area but i hear SLU is starting to get bad
idk i thought after the June riots that maybe we'd see a repeat of the late 20C flight to suburbs but wasn't expecting it to hit Seattle this hard there are some reasons you would expect it not to but the city really seems dead set on making it happen big F for a nice city :/
