more cautiously stated: undesirable transformations induced by policy may be manageable by policy, but the new policies which mitigate an undesirable transformation tend to have undesirable side effects. you can't take the pee out of the pool, but you can dump more chlorine in.

I suspect everybody believes this, but not everyone thinks it is Very Important I think it is Very Important I've been trying to articulate the fundamental disagreements that separate me from my most woke / Kendified friends and family; perhaps this is one?
