I mean the whole notion of paternity which is important to a lot of animals seems to imply understanding of sex = babies right? I guess it could be instinctive idk

my question is less whether it's instinctual and more if there's evidence that other animals share the instinct, which to me would make "it's instinctual" more scientifically supported. evaluating whether it even is instinctual in humans isn't exactly (ethically) possible
