Supposing it works, which it won’t, it’s interesting for *whom* though. French aircraft and missiles are clearly *much* better price/performance[1] than what the US produces (at least: …and sells internationally) right now but their other stuff has better Euro competition AFAIK.

It's a rhetorical trick. Between themselves, EU nations likely have conventional forces parity with Russia. Also, France has its own H-bombs and ballistic missiles.
