In lieu of a retweet I'd like to signal-boost @MediClit's existence. There appears to be distributed coordination among physicians to avoid knowing about clitoral anatomy, & labiaplasty propaganda amounts to a distributed infowar American equivalent of coerced FGM.

Specifically, after a botched (and in hindsight unnecessary) labiaplasty she's been spending her time trying to inform physicians about clitoral innervation, and getting indignant resistance. Indignant resistance to any change recommended by someone outside the guild is in-model.

But textbooks continuing to have clear diagrams of penile but not clitoral anatomy seems absolutely bizarre if there are popular surgeries that cut anywhere near the clitoris, which there unfortunately are, and I'm not sure what to infer about the medical system here.

Also women are apparently targets of propaganda that their labia are bad and need plastic surgery? I'm unclear on the vector or motivation here - is this a surviving case of sociopathic profit-motivated propaganda?

@MediClit says porn actually *corrected* her impression of how diverse desirable body types could be, and it seems like if women interested in being attractive to men had male friends they could just ask about this, that would also help.1 reply 0 retweets 11 likesShow this thread -
I recall her saying somewhere that she's gotten surprisingly stronger criticism for her activism from women than from men, and that suggests to me that in this case "attractiveness" isn't really about appealing to mates, it's some sort of intragender/intrasexual social control.

This is broadly consistent with my impression that a lot of problems due to masculine and feminine posturing would be resolved if men and women were trying to be sexy to specific women and men, instead of focusing on intrasex pseudosexual competition.

An obvious practical implication for me is that I shouldn't try to be a conventionally attractive man, but should instead just try to have fun being an excellent *me*.

Also very obviously in hindsight, just as FGM is coordination to suppress wild female sexual consciousness (Chalice in tarot), circumcision is coordination to suppress wild male sexual consciousness, the magic of the Wand / Staff / Snake.
