if you are going to be using it heavily and/or off-road spring for the uppababy vista & mesa, it comes with flat bassinet that's safest for sleep, has shocks, is built like a tank, and can be expanded to hold 2-3 kids. holds resale value too (or buy a lightly used one)

Don’t bother. It’s really convenient for a few months, then of absolutely no value. After the first kid we switched to buying seats and strollers independently. We don’t even bother with the baby-bucket style car seats anymore.

We eventually got to a Graco system that worked well for us — a stroller frame and bases that stayed strapped into two vehicles; the actual car seat just snapped in and out. Much more convenient than the cobbled-together system we started out with.
