1/1 The military didn’t build the fighter, it was a private company most likely Lockheed Martin, Northup Grumman or Boeing. Given the level of technology these companies posses, especially their proprietary software capabilities with generative design with simultaneous simulation

Probably helps that the Air Force had 100% control over the design requirements. The F-35 was not helped by being an an everything for everyone with everyone getting input.
