I think it's more Like, building communities where a broader array of traits are valued and its expected that a place is found for everyone (??) I bet there's a lot of choicelessness here tho You can't do it in places where individualism is unusually strong

My reflex is to agree with all but the last statement I consider myself to value individualism very strongly, but one of my personal values is local community investment I want to reach my goals, but one of them is to see my friends and neighbors do well

Maybe it has friction with individualism because in general one might say that other people "doing well" would be "doing something that provides value to me or my environment" in the pure libertarian sense
