trying to scope out what threat avoidance would even look like in this case general breakdown = have a location outside a city to bail out to with friends food and guns? ride that out? what does riding it out even look like meh who even knows mostly try to stay indoors

seems like major avoidable risks are (i) leaving your house and (ii) being a target for easy plunder so stock up and co-defend with armed friends and family if it comes to that everything else feels difficult to hedge unless you're megarich

once again I don't think this is anything close to likely this time around

This year, if nothing else, has tempered my expectations, I’m in constant flux. And thus, I believe, slightly closer to nirvana.

Trump losing on mail in votes, calling them fraud, and refusing to concede seems like it could spark a lot of things. Really just depends how much damage he wants to do in that moment, or whether he can control himself.

that does seem like the modal fucksie-wucksie I can imagine others dont think a trump victory would go down well from a lot of angles probably "safe" outcome is a Biden landslide *on election day*

The collectivos and militias could do something dumb but I have concerns at the top, namely about John Roberts and Pelosi. Both actually have significant powers to fuck things up if they act stupidly.

If we have a 2000 Florida situation it could get ugly at high levels. Could end up in a situation where some faction of the elite decides that it’s time to use the peasants to smash another faction.

i'd say it's more a question of political & media elites' framing & messaging around the outcome & vote counting process etc if it's super close somewhere or something (also the actual procedural shenanigans elected officials might do, depending on scenario)

yeah that's fair narrative is gonna be fucked up regardless ugh
