There was an NPR interview a few years back about a Coffee and Guns store in a local (very lib middle upper class urban) area, none of the clients would give their full name. I feel like we've shifted a bit from there?

This may have to do with class+location. Lots of richer rural people love their guns and have higher levels of familiarity with violence. In bigger cities tho this analysis passes the smell test.

My sister didn't want my brother-in-law to have a gun and then she read "The Road" and then she was like "Maybe you should have a gun."
