@eigenrobot, you asked for a ck3 review, so here’s mine after a few hours.
First of all, CK3 is by far the most polished PDX release in recent memory. It’s fast, mostly bug free, it’s stable and a fully fledged game

The new tool tips are great, despite some interface inconsistencies. It definitely takes some time getting used tho - and some buttons and interface definitely ought to be highlighted as such. I expect QoL-updates soon

Genetics: Congenital traits are now actually congenital, he was a giant genius, she was a fair albino, can I make it any more obvious? Neat detail, u can actually watch the characters grow and shrink with time

AI:The AI appears to be a much more capable opponent this time, i.e. the Catholics can wage a crusade I. Their own without the player and win. Fighting stronger opponents is hard, cause the ai appears to be paying attention to terrain and stack size, they’ll hunt your armies down

In general, I’d say the game is harder than CK2, the changes to laws mean one can’t switch to primogeniture within the first 15 years of the game, instead it’s a tech unlocked in the late game, not sure how I feel about this

Tech is culture specific and depends on the smartness of the culturehead, not a fan of that so far. I miss universities, in CK3 u can form some via decision late game

Economics: there’s a passive development mechanic, which is great, but not sure about the balancing. Take the 1066 start, the county of Constantinople is worth roughly 5x (before modifiers) the county of Dublin

The baronies are now visible on the map, and there are far fewer baronies per county compared to ck2, usually 2-4. And they did my favorite duchy (Sicily) dirty, it’s now a 5 county duchy with only maybe 15 baronies :( Poor Robert
