mom had no idea what to do with it she didn't want to put it on the wall -- I'd be the only kid with a Giant headshot and pictures of that size would have been a little...out of place with the rest of the decor

so every time I visit, mom asks if I want the damn photo the goddamn poster-sized headshot of me, age 17, looking vaguely grumpy through a feigned smile *I* don't want it *she* doesn't want it she occasionally threatens to foist it on partners but none of them wanted it

and even though it was Extra and we have plenty of prints of various sizes left from that session (including a very normal school-picture-sized print in a lovely frame) well, she grew up poor and doesn't want to just *trash* the thing

I could take it and act like I was gonna keep it but then she'd ask and I'd have to be honest and then she would be sad and say "but we paid for that" so at this point the thing has been living in her closet for years

I should actually take a look and see if it's picked up any ambient magical properties some Dorian Gray shit might be neat unfortunately if anything it probably just has the curse of making anyone who gazes upon it vaguely unsettled
