Anyone have any book/documentary recommendations for learning about the various ancient empires? I’ve wanted to learn more about this since 7th grade world history but haven’t gotten around to it

I'm as fond/guilty of tsundoku as anyone, and once I get my country manor, filling it with quaint and curious volumes will nearly top the list. But until then the speed, convenience, and portability of e-readers can't be beat. Kindle+libgen+calibre=god tier

I can be reading almost anything within 3 minutes and I can take it anywhere. I have Durant's entire oeuvre in my pocket, whereas 90% of my dead trees have sat boxed up in my parents' basement since I was in college.
