one thing I am looking forward to with the election is that no matter what it will break a lot of people or rather reveal that they are broken, that their lives have been wasted as the old adage goes, the tide will go out and many will be found to have been swimming naked

i want trump to win because folding out of desire to placate the perps of a 4 year violent tantrum seems the the most worse outcome. ultimately the only option is to submit to the prog slow drip, but i'll at least go out and vote one last time out of spite.

I think there is more fear than anger. It might manifest as anger, but underlying emotion is fear

I'm somewhat concerned that one side has taken the mask off and made it clear that they hate 40+% of the country, and everything they stand for, and would take a victory as a mandate of righteousness in venting that hatred.

if Dems sweep the next step is probably a night of long knives probably the pelosi wing wins it

governing is hard, and it's always easier to be united in opposition, but I think there's a fair argument that pre-'93, Congressional Republicans were pretty happy never having a shot at governing unless they won the Presidency what gets weird is perceived existential threats

the GOP Old Guard knows it, however much is left of them, and the Dem Old Guard knows it. The policylandia I'm close with thinks that the #1 objective in the first 100 days should be enforcing+expanding voter rights and the franchise generally (either statehood or VRA)
