would be helpful if someone that actually knew what they were doing would help suss it out rather than just tantalizing but of course if questions are not being taken, questions are not being taken

yea I read that, doesn’t really say anything that’s not in the actual paper. my prior is that it’s bs but tbh I don’t know statistics well enough to really understand the analysis so I’m sort of just waiting to see if anybody comes up with a convincing debunking.
would be helpful if data set was available but alaspic.twitter.com/5H5aBMbO7G
So it's not readily falsifiable upon peer review, and therefore isn't scientific. At all.
lol thats not how it works no
I'm sorry, are you saying they're deliberately masking the data to avoid further scrutiny, or something else? Is AHCA patient privacy legislation or something else like the journal?
I poorly worded that. But datasets in studies like this are typically readily available with anonymized data, correct?
it very much depends on the dataset sometimes it can be anonymized, sometimes not
you dont need to see the data you can just ignore the paper
honestly this one looks somewhat interesting to me I have yet to see a really convincing explanation of the infant mortality gap and I can't say I find the hypothesis here wildly implausible effect size concerningly high tho
yes yes it is I promise you this study is fake
