It's also sort of easy to say if you can already afford it, but there are some items of clothing that really are worth it to splurge on They will last forever and always look good, while the cheaper versions will look less good, before they fall apart

What's the deal with square toed shoes?

They're A weird thing someone came up with and they're sold in shoe sections at certain stores but most people find them distasteful and yet people who aren't familiar see them as a cool deviation from usual dress shoes and buy them and I'm mad at the way they're misled :/
