Already one downtown business this evening announced they are permanently enclosing due to increased crime in downtown. Wouldn't surprise me for Amazon to reconsider Seattle as HQ.

I saw all of 6 people downtown in the 4th and Stewart area at noon on a Thursday - and there was one other person getting drinks at the Starbucks on 6th - gonna go out on a limb that business hasn't been booming.

Given that the economy imploded, crime's going to go up. There's a pretty strong correlation.

https://www.macrotrends.net/cities/us/wa/seattle/crime-rate-statistics … Most statistics agree that crime was near or at historic lows in the past few years. 2020 to 2030 is going to be interesting.
