Excel auto-coverting dates has to be most complained about thing for the last 2 decades, and now they've decided its easier to rename the human genome than expect Microsoft to fix its poor choices

I do see where these guys are coming from - no matter what program I use, I'll get yelled at by reviewers if I send a table not in xls or csv, and that'll get opened into excel by the reviewer anyway
