@selentelechia and I were super self-directed as kids, imagine we mostly will need to facilitate rather than interfere

supplement with other things, facilitate interests, all vital. Even when school is bad, it serves the purpose of teaching kids how to "do this culture" and introduces them to things everyone else considers touchstones. the bad model is 100% delegation of education to schools

The main problem with the linked thread is it's trying to solve a policy problem and I'm trying to solve a "my family" problem. Is at-home radical child led learning scalable? I don't know! Doesn't fucking matter to my choices or assessments of it relative to alternatives.
