One of the best things my parents did was refusing to have political views in front of me so I never internalized it as a normal thing for adults to do

Why do you think it's an infohazard? I'd imagine that this aphorism "almost everything is political" makes everyone more aware of their responsibility as an individual, isn't that a good thing? Even if they don't understand the whole argument in a nuanced way.

Sure if people agreed Maybe . . . maybe In practice it tends to make people fight about minutiae, as you see with *gestures at everything* I mean I think you would be hard pressed to call this a social improvement over baseline :/
