Many people will believe the infectious disease people no matter what. Even if you don’t, you might want to know that those people are operating on a 4y timeline. This might be a self-fulfilling prophecy.

one thing I learned as an infectious disease expert during COVID is that reporters don't "ask an infectious disease expert." you get quoted in one of two ways: proactively courting journalists, or (1/2)
