every couple of months I have to grit my teeth and dig a millimeter of sharp toenail out of my foot with the little hooked thing on the nail clippers before somehow clipping it or tearing it off with tweezers and I should probably have surgery but here we are wish me luck

Not sure how American medical insurance works in a case like this but if that were my nail, I would go straight to emergency at the nearest good hospital no delay.

I feel like all this was just pretense to post another foot pic.

all along, the footposting was a cry for help but in our arrogance, we couldn't see

You should probably have mentioned rear was ingrown rather than front. All the advice you got seems to have been for front. For this, you're gonna want to buy a steel dental pick.

Ok yours is quite far back, however to prevent a reoccurrence is to let your toenail grow a bit longer then in the middle at the front you cut a 'V' shape. The toenail grows together & straightens bits at the side. It takes time but is longterm solution

My wife would yell at you that you mustn't cut your toenails in this way, you should keep the toenail ending a straght line prependicular to the toe (not bending backwards). She says that cutting the toenails this way leads to them ingrowing.
-
Second this in my personal xp with ingrown toenails. If the choice is between keeping your toenails slightly longer and regularly performing unlicensed self-surgery, I think it's a no-brainer.

Thought you were trying to hide an identifying tattoo at first. My experience with similar is that instead of digging it out every so often let it grow out correctly; every day or two, push down the skin so that the nail grows over it. Eventually it grows all the way out freely

I'm totally just gonna see a podiatrist :(
