We'll have a wing of the house for them in an immediate sense next month (ignoring e.g. leaving by plane)

If things get bad enough to bug do you think we even stay in the metro? Been turning that idea back and forth Probably safer than a hotel or a campground in event of major civil unrest I guess

FWIW: 1967 - Grandpa only fled to a motel in Royal Oak 4 miles away 2020 - There's riots and looting and BTLM rallies 4 miles away and I don't actually notice. Riots are a pedestrian thing mostly.

We've got a car and we're 30s from a walled off thoroughfare, onramp is in the direction opposite of where riots would come from Quick egress is v possible

The other thing is that in Seattle there are just not that many protesters No way they get broad coverage Quality of life shit and random violence is more a concern

Fair enough. I was thinking immediate "There are NO cops this weekend". Obviously, we're keeping a more general eye eye on the killings and random drive-bys in rich neighborhoods (Cobble Hill? Lol wut?).
