My common threat model is Minneapolis not Aleppo.

FWIW: 1967 - Grandpa only fled to a motel in Royal Oak 4 miles away 2020 - There's riots and looting and BTLM rallies 4 miles away and I don't actually notice. Riots are a pedestrian thing mostly.

And the bit where you don't have cops this weekend is scary, but um... The nasty bits of Portland are 3 blocks. They've been failing to burn down one building for at least the 6 days that I've been paying attention.pic.twitter.com/SSA5lOorEK

Without giving yourself away, how in the city are you? I'm probably gonna go stay with family in the suburbs for a few days, for peace of mind.

I'm in Queen Anne, comfortable saying this. Most shit will probably happen in the downtown/cap hill corridor. Is something going down I don't know about? Guess the police warnings have been ominous

As others have noted, this is actually fairly minor so far in a broad view but certainly good to plan. I've thought about it before and I think certain remote campgrounds might actually work out very well, though certainly it's got a variety of risks.

Gotta be super low Just not enough tightly packed lumpenproletariat, they were driven out by high housing prices years ago Maybe 1000 hardcore rioters but they need the Masses to do real damage and those are too dispersed and quiescent right now
