Thanks! If the objects of religious belief oughtn't be physical things, what are they? Can the belief be right or wrong in the same way as belief in elliptical orbits? How does that belief compare to my son's belief in magic, which he knows isn't real, or mine in the USA mythos?

Is faith in prophecy and the like a different kind of thing than magic being real in the archetypical sense? Is the archetypical sense different from the sense in which, like, the hero's journey or the archetype of vampires is real?

Vampires are real in the same way massive objects really attract, or "the shared cultural archetype of vampires" is real in the same way "the shared cultural concept of gravity" is real, or something else?
