ok so in high school I was smart and this irritated another smart guy and he would look up obscure words in a dictionary and use them in sentences to try to flex on me but I knew what they were every time it was driving him nuts https://twitter.com/who_is_spencer/status/1284043758540075008?s=19 …

but as I said he was sharp and he eventually devised a plan that led to my downfall instead of challenging me to define a real word (I would win) he simply made up a word out of whole cloth and used it in a sentence then paused and asked me what it meant of course I answered
I think the word was "eluciate" very lame because he was using it similarly to "elucidate"
