good perspective checks out I . . . think wonder if this solves the problem, like: ok you've deleted "bad" subs but surely reddit has adtech to only display in subsets of subreddits? (???) so it's a pure image issue (?) do advertisers care about this? who would attack them?https://twitter.com/psudonymph/status/1281828972997705728 …

I'm extremely not impugning OP who clearly knows more about this than I do just thinking from an ad buyer's perspective like ppl who know you advertise there include: 1. people who see the ad 2. reddit 3. people who spend a lot of time looking at your ad budget

Reddit wants you to buy ads, so they're happy Ppl on reddit want to be there for some reason so they're not gonna be mad So---outside weird obsessives? But they don't seem to target reddit much compared to eg Twitter or Facebook (??? this is all just impressions ig)

I don’t actually think anyone actually would boycott Reddit advertisers (unless maybe if their ads end up on hate subs). I’ve seen ads for Google’s hardware products on Reddit (might be trying to avoid antitrust?) and I haven’t seen anyone comment on it.
