Erdogan also gutted Turkish universities, private schools and purged thousands of professors and teachers. This shit isn’t normal and the useful puppets cheering for it don’t understand where it leads.

I'm generally against purges but in the case of US humanities I just don't think there's much left to save I genuinely blame the left for destroying those fields and I resent it deeply Please believe me when I say that I love the Idea of a University in the Newmanesque sense,

Without wanting to start a fight, can you explain what leads you to believe this? Obviously at my current uni I'm fully in the STEM bubble, but I follow the work of a number of humanities professors, all of whom seem to do good work
